More from Tennessee

Sun, fun and…comfort.
Summer tank with shorts and comfy shoes. Perfect for a day full of walking around seeing the sites.

I previously talked about mix and match pieces when you pack – it can be a whole new outfit with just a top change!
It’s all about maximising that suitcase space.

Travel Time

If you have a love for clothes, shoes, handbags, accessories… or ALL of these… there is one thing that scares you more than humidity for curly hair. Packing.
First of all I am not, I repeat NOT, a clairvoyant. I can NOT see into the future. How am I supposed to know what I will feel like wearing tomorrow or the next day??????

So while I can’t take this pain away completely, I will share some tips to try and at least ease the pain of packing.
(1) Claim as much luggage space as possible if you are travelling with a significant other
(2) Pick one or two colour themes
(3) Try a few pieces that are easily “mix and matches”
(4) Avoid changing climates if possible (when going from hot to cold packing those massive jackets takes up WAY too much shoe space)

With the above in mind, I went with a lot of red-white-blue recently for my 4th July trip to Nashville.

Longer sleeves keep you warm if the plan is overly air-conditioned (though with split sleeves that was questionable lol).

Stars and stripes!

Where better to celebrate America than in the city of music??
Making sure that my suitcase was filled with an appropriately patriotic colour themed wardrobe, I ventured to Nashville for the Independence Day long weekend.

From Paris with LOVE

Firstly, apologies for the long time between updates. It has been far too long!
It has been a crazy few months and I have not been able to spend time on blogging.
It’s a new year however, and it comes with new updates for the blog!

As a start 2014 I wanted to share my Parisian adventure with you all.
I was fortunate enough to visit late last year.

Paris is one of my favourite cities in the world.
Spring, summer, autumn, winter – it really doesn’t matter.

Ev & The City – Charleston Edition

I am pretty much ready to run away to the South!
After a few days, I have fallen deeply in love with Charleston.

DSC_0289 DSC_0240 DSC_0264 DSC_0272 DSC_0295 DSC_0306

The food (yes I tried grits, and no they are not for me!), the cute buildings running along cobblestone streets, the history, markets, horse drawn carriages…
Added to this, it was perfect warm weather every day.
Ohhh so dreamy – leaving me in a pastel frame of mind.

Under the boardwalk…

I was lucky enough to spend the Memorial Day holiday weekend in the South, by the beach.
The Isle of Palms, just twenty minutes out of Charleston, was beautiful. Long beaches, perfect weather – an amazing escape.

My tropic inspired dress comes courtesy of H&M – and their conscious collection.
So now you can feel good about a cute dress, at an incredible price, WHILE doing something better for the environment. Win, win and win.

Hamptons Happy!

How can one not be happy in such a beautiful place?
The beautiful ocean, quaint buildings and generally gorgeous surrounds leave a big smile on your face.

And all this just a few hour out of the city – BLISS!!

Colour, sparkle & shine – always sublime!

Sparkles and colour are always a nice outfit addition – holiday season or not (though I for one am in denial that the holidays have past).
Ready for wherever the days adventure may take you. Coffee with the girls, a stroll through the city, or a sneaky early evening cocktail.

Mix black with some bold coloured garments and throw in a sparkly jacket – off you go.

Being on another continent these past few weeks has certainly not stopped me shopping, and these seasons sales were good to me!.
Here are just a few of the finds I am loving at the moment.

Colour & Sparkle

Pop on this MANGO cropped Sequins & Beads jacket, paired with this fun MANGO Maxi Studs top.
(Speaking of MANGO – how good does Kate Moss look in their campaign. GORGE!!)

Now we all want to brighten up our winter – an easy way to do it is with some bold pants.
I found these great bright red pair on the sale rack at H&M! They are super comfortable, with a nice cut suitable for either work or play!

Every outfit is at it’s best when finished off with a Louboutin shoe – here with the gorgeous “Decollete” glossy leather pump.

Sparkle the winter away…

Happy New Year!!

NYELast night as I faced the cold rainy Swedish weather in open toe Jimmy Choo pumps to cheer in the new year, I came to a few realizations.

(1) Carrie Bradshaw would never let a small thing like weather curtail her shoe options.
(2) Sequins and sparkle are the NYE uniform, no matter what continent you’re on
(3) There are two kinds of Scandinavian blonde – the real kind that is pristine and enviable. Or the second kind which has been bleached to within an inch of it’s life.
(4) This is the time when you wish you had made BFF’s with at least three taxi drivers.

What a ride 2012 has been – I can’t wait for the adventures of 2013 and here’s hoping we can all keep our New Year’s resolutions (has anyone, ever?????).

Wishing you all the very best for 2013!!!

Love and Louboutin’s
